We are thrilled to announce that our collaboration with Svante has been successfully published in Nature Communications. This groundbreaking study delves into the CO₂ and water adsorption properties and the framework flexibility of the already-commercialised Metal-Organic Framework (MOF), CALF-20.

The paper, titled “Gas adsorption and framework flexibility of CALF-20 explored via experiments and simulations”, presents a comprehensive investigation into CALF-20’s unique properties using a combination of experimental and simulation-based techniques.

  • CO₂ and water adsorption efficiency: The study reveals CALF-20’s superior adsorption capabilities, highlighting its potential for applications in carbon capture and gas separation.
  • Framework flexibility: Researchers explored the dynamic structural adaptability of CALF-20, which enhances its performance under varying environmental conditions.
  • Industrial relevance: As a commercially available MOF, CALF-20’s proven efficiency further solidifies its role in sustainable gas separation technologies.

This publication represents a significant step in advancing MOF-based materials for carbon capture applications. Our collaboration with Svante and leading researchers in the field continues to push the boundaries of innovation in sustainable materials science.

We invite you to explore the full publication here and stay tuned for further developments in this exciting research area!
