We are pleased to announce that, in collaboration with University College London (UCL) and the University of Sheffield, we have received funding from the UK’s Association of Anaesthetists and Barema to develop Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) technology for sustainable healthcare solutions.

This initiative aims to create highly efficient filtration materials designed for the targeted capture and high-volume storage of waste anaesthetic gases. By leveraging the advanced adsorption properties of MOFs, this technology will provide an innovative solution for reducing harmful emissions within the healthcare sector.

Anaesthetic gases significantly contribute to the NHS’s carbon footprint, and there is an urgent need for effective mitigation strategies. Our MOF-based filtration system will play a crucial role in capturing these gases, preventing their release into the atmosphere, and enhancing sustainability efforts across NHS facilities.

With the combined expertise of UCL, the University of Sheffield, and our research team, this project represents a major step towards reducing environmental impact in the medical field. We are excited to contribute to the NHS’s mission to achieve net-zero emissions through groundbreaking material science innovations.

Stay tuned for more updates on our progress in revolutionizing sustainable healthcare!
