We are thrilled to announce that our sister company, C-MAT Technologies Ltd (C-MAT), has been awarded funding through Innovate UK for an exciting project titled MOFs for Reduction of Ship Emissions (MORSE). This groundbreaking initiative aims to drive innovation in carbon capture technology for the maritime industry.
About the MORSE Project
The MORSE project is designed to develop a pioneering Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) based CO₂ filtration and storage technology specifically for ship flue gas emissions. By leveraging MOFs’ exceptional adsorption capabilities, this technology will provide a highly efficient and scalable solution for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the shipping sector.
Addressing a Critical Environmental Challenge
Maritime transport is a significant contributor to global CO₂ emissions, and the need for sustainable, cost-effective solutions is greater than ever. The MORSE project will create substantial value in this rapidly evolving market by developing an advanced carbon capture system that aligns with global sustainability goals.
Looking Ahead
With support from Innovate UK, C-MAT Technologies will collaborate with industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to accelerate the deployment of MOF-based solutions. This project represents a major step forward in the effort to decarbonize the shipping industry and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
